2024 Unwrapped

We provided just under 8000 food parcels to Warrington residents
A food parcel contains a variety of contents which provide several days worth of nutritional meals including common staples such as cereal, bread, tinned goods, fresh fruit, vegetables. We also supply toiletries, cleaning products and more where possible to support people in crisis. Click here to find out more about the items we need currently.

2867 different households were supported by our emergency food provision
We saw a variety of situations and reasons for referral to our service including;
10% of adults were aged under 25 and a further 4% aged 65+
Over half of all referrals were from single adult households
7.5% were caused by a health condition
More than one in ten were working, but still unable to make ends meet

1 in 3 people within the households we supported were children
A heartbreaking statistic, with the risk these children may miss out on opportunities which support their development and future.

The average household we worked with needed 3 weeks of support during the year
Crisis takes different forms, sometimes requiring short or long term intervention and support. We have been growing our wraparound support offering to people who attend the service, with advisers on site who can help to support and signpost with debt and money, housing, mental health, energy and other issues. The average person we supported only needed three weeks of support from our service within the year.

How can I help?

Without your help we can’t continue to support those who need us. If you are able to make a financial donation or food donation this is invaluable and helps us to keep delivering the service to those who currently need our help.
